UR General Questions

  1. How much does UR Sports Companion cost?
    UR Sports Companion is free, thanks to our advertisers.
  2. Why would I want to sign up for a UR Sports Companion membership?
    We will allow you to create a profile, which is similar to a sales pitch of your athletic skills, personality, and worth ethic. You will be able to upload videos, photos, enter your statistics, and also strive to be on the UR Sports Companion Leaderboard.
  3. I forgot/lost my username:
    UR username is the personalized name you used to identify “UR“ personal profile. It is “UR” personal identification on the UR Sports Companion website and is used by coaches to identify you as an athlete and by UR Sports Companion on “UR Stat Leader Board”. If you have trouble identifying “UR” personalized name please contact us in order that we can confirm “UR” username.
  4. I forgot/lost my password:
    If you have lost or forgotten your password, you may reset your password by clicking the “Forgot Password" button on the Login Screen. This will send an email to the address entered with a special verification code to confirm the process of resetting your password. Once you have verified your email address, you may select any password you would like.
  5. How do I change my login information?
    You can update your login information by first logging into your account. Once logged in, click “My Account” and then click the link for “Update Login Information”. Enter your new email address as well as your current password on the left or simply choose a new password on the right.
  6. I want to register as an athlete. How do I do this, and how will it benefit me?

UR Sports Companion athletes/parents

  1. How does UR Sports Companion comply with NCAA rules and regulations?
    UR Sports Companion DOES comply with all NCAA regulations. In fact, our website provides you, the student/parent, with NCAA rules and regulations to help you in “UR” recruiting process.
  2. How do I update my personal profile?
    Once logged in, you can edit your personal profile by clicking on “My Profile” then clicking “Edit Profile”. Here you will be able to edit all your personal information as well as what sports you participate in.
  3. How do I upload my videos and personal pictures?
    To upload a photo to your account, first login and then click on “My Profile”. You should see a section labeled “Add/Edit” with links for photos and videos. Click the photos link and then “Add Photo”. This will bring you to a screen where you can enter a caption and description as well as set the photo as the default for your profile. Click “Browse” to locate the file (JPG, GIF, or PNG only) on your computer and then click “Add”. If you would like to add videos to your profile, we realize that you may already have videos posted on YouTube™ to showcase your talents. Rather than make you upload the same video to UR Sports, we've made it simple to just paste in the YouTube™ address into the UR Sports site along with a title and description to build a gallery of your videos. If you do not have a YouTube™ account, you can create an account first and then begin uploading your videos. If you're having trouble uploading videos, go here for more information.
  4. How can I notify schools/coaches/recruiter of my interest in their program?

UR Sports Companion Coaches

  1. As a UR Sports Companion college coach am I in full compliance with NCAA rules and regulations?
    Registering with UR Sports Companion is in full compliance with NCAA regulations. UR Sports Companion simply makes the recruiting process more accessible and more efficient for our coaches. All NCAA regulations and rules in the recruiting process still apply and should be followed by all of our participating coaches.   2. There are several coaches on my staff that would like to set up personal profiles for themselves. Can multiple coaches associate with the same program at the same university sign up for an account?
  3. How do I search for athletes?
    You search for athletes by clicking “Find an Athlete” in the navigation bar. From there, you can enter various search criteria related to the athlete and which sport you coach.
  4. What assurance do I have that athletes are providing accurate information?
